Elizabeth "Bette" Leigh Black comes of age in the years before WWII. Although money is scarce in the aftermath of the Depression, her home with her mother, Chloe, and her stepfather is happy. Lyn Cote (pronounced "co-tee") is the award-winning author of historical novels including Echoes of Mercy and Lost in His Love. She was born in Texas, grew up in Illinois on the shores of Lake Michigan, and raised two children in Iowa. A full-time writer, she now lives in northern Wisconsin with her husband and two cats.

Anna Fields has found her true home behind the microphone after beginning her career on the stage in Washington, D.C. She has garnered several AudioFile Earphones Awards and won the coveted Audie Award in 2004.

AUTHORS
Gordon Livingston, MD, a graduate of West Point and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, has been a physician since 1967. Awarded the Bronze Star for valor in Vietnam, he is the author of two previous books, Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart and Only Spring. He lives and works in Columbia, Maryland. NARRATOR
Bruce Barker, a native of Alaska, has worked extensively in the voice over industry. His work has included voice overs for television, radio and audio books.
